MIRAI – collaboration between Swedish and Japanese universities

MIRAI, which means “future” in Japanese, is a collaboration between Swedish and Japanese universities. The aim is to contribute to long-term research collaborations and promote Sweden and Japan as nations with world-leading, large-scale research infrastructure.

MIRAI strives not only to contribute to collaboration between Sweden and Japan, but also to global issues that should be discussed and addressed internationally between nations.

The third phase of MIRAI runs from 2024–2026 and has the bold mission of focusing on global challenges to be addressed collaboratively.
