Research project Cultural meetings, conferences and the translation and publication of literary texts in indigenous languages – these are some of the activities the project is implementing. All contribute to the project’s overall goal of creating meaningful exchanges of ideas and of promoting equality and diversity within the circumpolar North through the power of literature. The project further aims to strengthen the ties between Quebec and the North, two geographical areas with a history of shared values.
The project ‘Literature at the Heart of Diversity and Equality’ aims to stimulate cooperation between Quebec and the Nordic countries by organising conferences, training sessions and international symposia, thereby creating an environment for rich cultural exchange and mutual understanding. By facilitating exchanges between professionals, writers, readers of literature, and students, the project promotes inter-northern co-operation between Quebec and the Nordic countries, enriching the global literary sphere with diversity perspectives.
