The course introduces basic concepts and theories in human geography, and spatial planning, as well as an application of these concepts and theories in practical community planning. The course focuses on general planning challenges, such as participatory planning, sustainable development, the legitimacy of planning and results. During the course, special focus is placed on urban development and the specific challenges of cities.
