This course aims to increase the students' knowledge about the development and evaluation of complex interventions in the field of public health. The course alternates introductory lectures with interactive sessions, both in the form of group discussions and individual work. The course is structured based on different phases of development and evaluation of complex interventions, with a focus on feasibility, effects, and implementation. The course content is situated and deepened through reading and discussion of scientific articles.
Teaching is given in English and carried out through lectures and group work in addition to participation in compulsory seminars and a compulsory written home assignment.
For non-programme students applying as single-course students, the requirements are 120 ECTS, of which a minimum of 30 ECTS are within one of the following: health sciences, environmental health, or social sciences.
Proficiency in English equivalent to Swedish upper secondary course English 6/level 2.
