The course introduces chemical thermodynamics and describes fundamental concepts, such as stability, phase transitions, chemical mixtures, equilibrium, and electrochemistry. The molecular basis of thermodynamics will also be discussed throughout the course. The course will use examples from cutting-edge academic and industrial research to put the material into context.
